The event is now held at Beef Island. The event comprises a 840-metre swim, 20-kilometre bike ride and a five-kilometre run.

Swim: 840 metres

One lap

Starts and finishes at emergency boat ramp opposite the end of the runway. Swim around rocks on left, then head towards left end of Well Bay beach. Go around the swim buoys at each end Well Bay Beach, and back.

Bike: 19.3k

4.75 laps

Starts at swim finish.  Ends at 90 degree bend on road around airport.

Start heading towards Beef Island bridge. Turnaround at Little mountain junction. Cycle back past airport to turnaround at 90 degree left hand road bend.

Run: 4.7k

3 laps

Run along “Old Airport Road”. Join main airport road at junction and head back, bearing left through airport terminal past the terminal building. At road junction go straight over crossing small wooden bridge to Trellis Bay, then around back of Jeremy’s Kitchen café on gravel road, then head back to start.

A kids event will follow the adult race at Trellis Bay beach in front of Jeremy’s Kitchen.

REGISTRATION: Registration will take place at the on the day at 7:00am at the boat ramp.

ENTRANCE FEE: Individuals: $10; Teams $10 per person, can be two or three people.  Kids free. Water will be provided, but please bring your own reusable water bottles.

Mitchell & Ruscheinski Defend National Champ Titles

In the 2017 National Sprint Champs, Dan Mitchell and Tash Ruscheinski successfully defended their 2016 mens and ladies titles.  Shane Donovan was second, and Rob Mayo-Smith was third in the mens division.  Cat Ouriach was second in the ladies division.
