BVI X-Tri

 A new course for the X-Tri 6...

Next event: Sunday, March 5, 2017

This is a new flat (mostly) course over six legs with a 350 metre swim (1 lap)- 6k bike (2 laps)- 2.4k run (3 laps)- 350 metre swim (1 lap)-6k bike (2 laps)-2.5k run (3 laps) and is open to individuals and teams (teams may be of any number up to 6 members).

 The swim leg involves a single 350 metre triangular lap of Smugglers Cove.

 The bike leg involves two laps heading from the beach going left in the direction of Long Bay along Arawak Drive then taking the left hand fork down through Palm Drive, turning sharp right at the T junction at the end of Palm Drive (which is before you reach Long Bay), and then following the gravel road up a short rise and then back to the beach to complete lap 1 and then repeating for lap 2.

 The run leg involves three laps with each lap starting at the beach and then turning right towards Gun Point for 400 metres to the turnaround which is at the foot of the very steep  Gun Point Hill. Three laps make up each leg.

 The bike leg is  on gravel and so mountain bikes are recommended.

 There will be a Beach BBQ and kids racing (swim/bike/run) after the adult race starting at 9.30 am.

The race starts at 8.00am and competitors must meet at the beach near to the Smuggler's Cove car park. REGISTRATION: Registration will take place at the TSC Sports Club 5.30 to 6.30 Friday March 3rd. ENTRANCE FEE: Individuals: $20; Teams $20 per person.  This includes water, BBQ and drinks…kids are free!

Will follow the adult race. No entry fee.
